Abstract: The main objectives of this project is to explore and record the trend or pattern of scientific research articles conducted on different novel drug delivery systems, over the last 32 years (1980-2012) and try to ex-plain possible reasons that lead to such trend. Pub Med, has been used as a standard website to search for scientific articles, using different keywords related to the above mentioned topics. Published research articles on different novel drug delivery systems were recorded and analyzed to study their trends. Bar-charts showing the annual number of published articles, the total number of articles that has been published, as well as graphs showing the publications growth rates during (1980-2012), were constructed, to show the trend of such re-search.

| Title | : | Antibiotic resistance profiles of clinical and environmental isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in Calabar, Nigeria |

Abstract: Healthcare-associated infections due to multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa have become increasingly difficult to treat. The hospital environments, particularly in ICUs, are common habitats for Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Spread of pathogen may occur through direct patient contact with contaminated formites and from patient-to-patient on the hands of healthcare workers. The present study was conceived to evaluate the antibiotic resistance profiles of clinical and environmental isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in Calabar Metropolis.

| Title | : | "Prospective Interventional Study of Avipattikar Churna in relation with AMLAPITTA vyadhi" |
| Country | : | India |
| Authors | : | Sharmili Vijay Suryavanshi |
Abstract: As incidence of the AMLAPITTA vyadhi (Hyperacidity) is increasing day by day due to the disturbed, stressful life style, Its incidence is very high and complications are also increasing we found that Avipattikar churna (powder form) used in this disease was safe, economical and easy to use with good efficacy. Therefore present study was planned to evaluate the efficacy of Avipattikar Churna on AMLAPITTA vyadhi. 30 patients were selected suffering from the AMLAPITTA vyadhi and interventional study was carried out by using the Avipattikar Churna. Churna was standardized before use.

| Title | : | Prescribing Pattern of Antibiotics in Pediatric Inpatient Department of a Tertiary Care Teaching Hospital in Bangalore |
| Country | : | India |
| Authors | : | Laya Vahdati Rad || Modupalli Alekhya |
Abstract: Prescription pattern analysis oversees the observance of standards of medical treatment at all levels of the healthcare delivery system. Health professionals are primarily responsible for treatment and to know about their prescribing practices can contribute to the achievement of initiatives and regulations relevant to IUA. Evaluation of prescribing pattern will also help in minimizing adverse drug reactions as children are more susceptible to them and it shall also aid in providing cost effective medical care.The assessment of the prescription will helps to know the attitude of the physicians towards prescribing and to provide rationality in the prescription.we sought to evaluate the prescribing patterns of antibiotics in pediatric inpatient department of a tertiary care hospital.
