Abstract: BACKGROUND:Diarrhoea is a major public health problem in children under the age of 5 years. Its may leads to deaths in children below 2 years of age, due to diarrhea occuring during the first 2 years of life. Zinc deficiency is more in children in developing countries. Supplemental zinc provides to treat both acute and persistant diarrhoea in children.
