Abstract: Metals and metalloids have a long empirical history of human usage in medicine and agriculture. copper or copper compounds being used as astringents, antiseptics and antifungals, to treat wounds, to purify and sterilize drinking water, and in contraceptive intrauterine devices, Inorganic and organic copper compounds have been used to treat a variety of skin diseases, syphilis, tuberculosis and anaemia, amongst other maladies. There is also interest in copper-containing wound/ulcer dressings that have been trialled and reported to be effective. Most recently, the use of copper antimicrobial solid surfaces to reduce microbial contamination and transmission of hospital-acquired infections has progressed to clinical trials............

Abstract: Anti-tubercular drugs used in clinical practice, are not free from ADRs. The added problem is that combinations of drugs are always used for prolonged periods of time therefore; it is likely that the adverse reactions of one drug may be potentiated by the companion drugs used. Moreover, the Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) to the drugs used is one of the major reasons for the patient default treatment. Anti-tubercular drugs may result in ADRs involving almost all system in body, including the gastrointestinal tract, liver, skin, nervous system, otovestibular apparatus and the eyes. In this review we analysed various observational researches in TB diagnosed patients on anti TB treatment.

Abstract: Arcuate nucleus (ARN) consisting of neurons is located in the hypothalamus and plays an important role in integrating the hormonal and neuronal signals. In females it seems to regulate the secretion of sex steroids and affect the physiological and metabolic processes. More specifically, injections of leptin or insulin into the ARN, or nonspecific activation of the ARN, increase sympathetic nerve activity (SNA) in part via suppressionof tonic NPY inhibition of PVN presympathetic neurons. Because the ARN is a primary site for metabolic integration and the coordination of metabolic, activity, and endocrine rhythms is essential for this function, it is likely that the ARNmay play an important role in the disruptive effects of desynchrony..............

Abstract: Nigella sativa belongs to botanical family of Ranunculaceae commonly grows in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Western Asia. Since ancient civilization natural sources especially plants are used as medicinal therapy because they contain several components which are believed to cure various infectious diseases. It is commonly called as "Black seed" and used as natural food additive. It is also known around the world by many other medicinal value. It is known as black caraway, roman coriander, carvi, kalongi, kezah, corek out etc. Black cumin seeds have been used to successfully keep people super healthy forever since from 3,300 years ago it was believed.

Abstract: This study was conducted for the period from 1 /5 /2016 to 1 / 11/2016 in Diyala in Iraq.This study show the positivity of TB infection in baquba city and miqdadia city were highest rate in (2013) year (20.26%),(65.45%) and lowest rate of positivity were in (2016) year (20.40%),(40%) with high significant difference between years according to city (P<0.05).In baladrose city,alkhalas city and almansorya city the positivity of TB infection were highest rate in (2015) year (41.93%),(35.20%) and(5.88%) and lowest rate of positivity was in (2014) year (23.37%), with no significant difference between years according to city (P>0.05),(35.20%) and lowest rate of positivityalkhalas city was in (2013) year (0%) with high significant difference between years according to city (P<0.05),Inalmansorya...........

Abstract: Medicinal plants have bioactive compounds which are used forthe treatment of various human diseases and also play an important role in healing.In the present investigation phytochemical analysis of the buffer extract of rhizomeof Asparagus racemosus showed the presence of flavonoids, phenols, tannins, glycosides and carbohydrates. The plant exhibited significant total phenolics, total flavonoids andascorbic acid content. The extract alsoshowed moderate antiinflammatory activity.The present study provides evidence that the antiinflammatory and antioxidant properties of buffer extract of Asparagus racemosus is due to medicinally important bioactive phytochemical constituents and this justifies the use of plant species as traditional medicine for treatment of various diseases.

Abstract: An accurate, precise, rapid and robust RP-HPLC and UV methods were developed and validated for the simultaneous estimation of Atazanavir and Ritonavir in tablet dosage forms. The chromatographic separation was carried out on X-tera C18 (100mmX4.6mmX3.5μ) by using mobile phase of Potassium Phosphate Buffer 0.05M at a pH of 2.5 and Acetonitrile in the ratio of 40:60 at a flow rate of 1.2 ml/min. The detection was carried out at 236 nm. The retention time of Atazanavir and Ritonavir was found to be 1.982 and 2.576 respectively. UV method involves solving simultaneous equations based on measurement of absorbance at two wavelengths 247 nm and 239 nm λmax of Atazanavir and Ritonavir respectively. Beer's law was obeyed in the concentration range of 6-30 μg/ml and 2-10 μg/ml for Atazanavir and Ritonavir respectively. These methods were statistically validated and recovery studies confirmed the accuracy of the proposed methods.

Abstract: In pregnancy several haematological changes do occur as part of the physiological adaptation of the body to this condition hence some metabolism may be affected. Therefore, this research investigated the effect of extract of Piliostigmathonningii on the haematological parameters of pregnant Wistar albino rats. The leaves of P. thonningii were collected and air dried for 14 days until constant weight was obtained. Twenty (20) pregnant female albino rats (160-220g) were randomly assigned to groups labeled A-D and treated thus. Animals in group A, B, C respectively were administered orally 200, 100, 50mg/kg body weight of the extract of Piliostigma thonningii while group D which served as the control received distilled water. Abstract: In this investigation, the morphological types of AM fungi in 12 plant species belonging to 10 genera from 8 families of salt marsh plants were examined. Among them eleven salt marshes in nature establishes AM fungal symbiosis of the Arum-type except in Sesuvium portulacastrum which is Paris-type of AM and can be positively colonized by AM fungi viz., Glomus aggregatum and G. geosporum in among 24 species were recovered. Modification of the diversity of AMF in two salt marsh plants, Salicornia brachiata and Sesuvium portulacastrum, were evaluated by analysis of partial sequences in the large subunit (LSU) ribosomal DNA (rDNA) genes. General primers for AMF were designed for PCR amplification of partial sequences using DNA extract from root tissues of S. brachiata.............

Abstract: The present survey was conducted to assess the physical habitat assessment of two pristine and polluted streams. The various physicochemical parameters viz., in stream habitat, epifaunal substrate, pool quality, riffle quality, bank stability were measured to evaluate the physical condition of Barna and Jamner stream. The results showed that the Jamner stream is polluted due to anthropogenic pressure.

Abstract: Tectona grandis(TG) Teak wood is one of the most highly valued timbers in the world and is famous for its dimensional stability, natural durability and which resists decay even when unprotected by paints and preservatives. TG is reported to have naphthoquinone derivatives and are known to possess antidiabetic activity. The sawdust which is by product of cutting, drilling or sanding of heartwood of Teak have beenyet to be explored for antidiabetic activity. So, in current research is carried out on the alcoholic extract of sawdust of TG. The extract wassubjected to preliminary qualitative and quantitative phytochemical analysis. The HPTLC fingerprinting carried out on alcoholic extract to identify the component present in it. Abstract: Leishmaniasis is a widespread parasitic disease caused by Leishmania parasite, this disease considers a major health problem among worldwide. Treatments available are expensive or with a cytotoxic side effect. This study was aimed to investigate the effect of an herbal new compound, called artemisinin, derived from a Chinese plant called Artemisia annua. Various concentrations were studied in vitro by chamber counting to investigate its effect on the proliferation of promastigotes. Three incubation periods were adopted (24, 48, 72) hours. The results showed a significant decrease in surviving promastigotes, in parallel with the normal cell count of untreated promastigotes, along the periods studied. This study revealed a major growth inhibition effect of artemisinin against L. tropica promastigotes, in vitro. It is recommended for future studies of artemisinin effects on amastigotes forms and in vivo study.

Abstract: The species diversity, density and stand structure of forests of Gundlabrahmeswaram Wildlife Sanctuary (GWLS), southern Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh, was assessed throughout the terrain by laying 62 transects of 1000x5m in 37 grids of 6.25x6.25 km2. A total of 14,262 stems with ≥30 cm girth at breast height (gbh) were enumerated. These represent 179 species belonging to 112 genera and 48 families. Tree species richness was as low as 28 species ha-0.5 in Bollupalli and Gundlamotu reservoir areas to as high as 68 species in Gundlabrahmeswaram. Tree density ranges from 220 ha-0.5 at Kanchuralla bodu to 748 stems ha-0.5 at Mangloni bodu and basal area from 3.99 m2/0.5ha at Kanchuralla bodu to 36.54 m2/0.5ha at Rudrakod. Shannon-Wiener diversity values ranges from 2.78 to 3.92. Simpson index values range from 0.89 to 0.97. Family Importance Value index of the pooled data...........
