Abstract: Introduction: Colorectal cancer (CRC) represents the 3rd most common tumor worldwide and the 6th in Egypt. It is still burdened by significant morbidity and mortality despite several therapeutic improvements. A gold standard for early detection and non invasive diagnosis is lacking. Aim was to assess faecal tumor M2-PK™ (ScheBo test) for detection of CRC.ln Adult Egyptians Methods: This cross-sectional, case-control study was carried out on 66 subjects. The cases group comprised 46 consecutive treatment- naïve patients with sporadic CRC proved by colonoscopy, histopathology and abdominal computed tomography which all together helped in tumor staging with TNM.............

Abstract: Upper respiratory tract infections (URTIs) that are caused by human adenoviruses (HAdVs) affect in the whole population, but are more frequent in young children under the age of five years old. Due to the potential role of HAdVs in the URTIs cases of young children and there is no previous molecular study on these viruses in Iraq, this study aimed to detect of the prevalence of HAdVs in children suffering from URTIs by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The DNA extracted from 203 nasopharyngeal and throat swabs, they were collected from children aged less than 15 years with the respiratory illness. In addition to 30 swabs obtained from healthy children as a control group. All samples diagnosed with PCR technique by using specific primer for the seven hyper variable regions (HVR-7) in the hexon gene............

Abstract: This study was aimed to monitor oral zinc sulfate role on local cervical proinflammatory cytokines in HPV-infected women comparing with these cytokines before treatment application. A cervical secretion got from 28 infected women before and after treatment with zinc sulfate, these samples assessed various markers of inflammation including interleukin-1β, IL-8, and IL-12. Results manifested that improve and clear the cervical HPV infections after three months of zinc treatment 46.43% and 21.43%, respectively. Viral infections with single and multiple HPV high-risk types are raising of studied cytokines after 3-month compared with single HPV low-risk type.............

Abstract: Crocothemis servilia servilia (Drury) (Odonata: Libellulidae) is biocontrol agent of paddy pests in Kolhapur region of Maharashtra. It predates on paddy jassid Nilaparvata sp., Paddy borer Chilo suppersalis (Walker) and Jowar stem a borer Chilo partellus (Swin). Therefore, biology of C. servilia servilia has been studied under laboratory conditions (24 0C, 70 - 75% RH and 12 hr Photo period). It completes its life cycle within 3 months, egg stage lasts for 18 days and nymphal period is 72 days.............
