Abstract: Alkaline laccase play an important role in bioremediation such as degradation of phenols, aromatic hydrocarbons, and different dyes used in textile industry. Also in denim washing, cosmetics and pulping industry. The isolates from soil sample near the vicinity of wood industry and were screened for alkaline laccase production. The darkness of brown colour of the colony due to oxidation of guaiacol was considered for efficient production. For potent isolate the significant enzyme activity was calculated using ABTS as substrate. The potent isolate was identified by 16s rRNA sequence analysis and found to be Bacillus subtilis. Optimization of incubation period, pH and temperature conditions for enzyme production were determined and found to be 72hrs, pH – 9 and 300C respectively. Optimization...........

Abstract: A specific, new, sensitive and simple method has been used for the determination of vitamin B9(Folic acid )in pure and pharmaceutical formulations by continuous flow injection analysis .The method is based on oxidation vitamin B9 by Ce(IV) sulphate in sulphuric acid to obtain a red complex, using homemadeAyah-6SX1-ST-2D solar cell CFIA. Optimum parameters have been studied to increase the sensitivity and limit of detection for this developed method. The linear range for the instrument response versus vitamin B9 concentration was (0.1-5) mMol.L-1 while the L.O.D was 5.544μg/sample, the correlation coefficient ( r ) was 0.9953 while percentage linearity ( r2% ) was 99.07%. RSD% for.......

Abstract: The present research work was oriented towards the finding newer benzimidazole derivatives with antimicrobial activity. The different substituted benzimidazole derivatives were synthesized by addition using different substituted aldehydes with o-phenylenediamine and followed by the condensation reaction. The structures of the different substituted benzimidazoles were confirmed by using different analylitical techniques. The synthesized compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activity against B.subtilis, S.aureus, E.coli, and P.aerugenosa. The results showed that the compounds 2a and 2c were having a very good anti bacterial activity and were having an appreciable antibacterial........

Abstract: Brachystegia eurycoma, Detarium microcarpum and Mucuna sloanei are commonly consumed in Eastern and Southern Nigeria for their thickening and flavouring properties in soup. Chemical analyses reveals they are rich sources of dietary protein, fat, fibre, energy and dietary elements. However, they are poor bioaccumulator of 'heavy' metals and as such may not be suitable for bioremediation of 'heavy' metal pollution as shown in their respective 'heavy' metal analysis. GCMS analyses of their respective soxhlet petroleum ether extracts shows that they are rich in dietary significant nutrient such as gamma tocopherol, beta tocopherol and linoleic acid and several secondary metabolites. An understanding of the nutrient composition of these legumes is needful to guide toward informed nutritional decision making to enhance healthy nutrition.

Abstract: The microbial quality of an abattoir effluent discharged into Waterside River in Abawas investigated. Samples were taken from the abattoir effluent, and from upstream and downstream of the receiving water body, and were examined for pathogenic microorganisms. The mean counts of the different isolates were obtained. The isolates include; Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas sp., Klebsiella sp., Salmonella sp., Shigella sp., Staphylococcus aureus, Enterobacter sp., Aspergillus sp., Rhizopus sp. and Penicillium sp. The ranges for microbial counts at room temperature and at 37oC were;9.8×104 to 2.2×107 cfu/ml(total aerobic plate count), 7.5×104 to 1.7×107 cfu/ml (total coliform count.......

Abstract: Pain is the most common symptom of most musculoskeletal disorders. Pain ranges from mild to severe and from acute and short-lived to chronic and of long duration and may be local or widespread (diffuse). Musculoskeletal pain can be caused by disorders of bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bursa, or a combination. Injuries are the most common cause of pain.Chronic pain is pain that persists for 6 months or more. It has a detrimental effect on the lives of those affected, impacting not just the sufferer, but also those that care for and interact with them. There are 134 million people living with chronic pain in India, 1 which is greater than the number of people living with diabetes (40 million), and it places a significant burden on the economy and society. In this paper a survey of the pain experienced and pain reliever in different types of treatments.

Abstract: Bitter taste perception is a conserved chemical sense against the ingestion of naturally toxic chemical substances in human. Taste effects food preferences and dietary habits, thereby directly influencing the eating behaviour of an individual. Thus, bitter taste perception for phenylthiocarbamide(PTC) is a classically variable trait in human population. Variation in the ability to taste PTC is one of the most widely studied human genetic trait. The frequency of taster and non-taster allele is found to vary in different populations. The present paper deals with the distribution of PTC tasting ability as a marker to study the genetic structure among the local human......

Abstract: Microsatellites are small DNA sequences repeat (1 to 6 base pairs in length) spread throughout the genome. Microsatellite instability (MSI) is the spontaneous loss or gain of nucleotides from repetitive deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) segments. This study was aimed to detect MSI in benign breast tumor (fibroadenoma) and breast cancer (ductal carcinoma) by using BAT25 marker. The formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) samples were taken from 21 cases with benign tumor and 23 cases with malignant breast tumor. Patients' age range was 16-72 year with mean of (43 ± 2.1 SEM. years). Tumor and corresponding normal DNA of the same patient was.........

Abstract: Chemotherapy is one among the alternative treatment for cancer patients but still it's a unsuccessful. Chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy is a common adverse reaction or effect of several agents/ drugs like taxanes and vinca alkaloids etc and some synthetic prepared pharmaceutical drugs. There is a growing evidences suggesting that the physical damage by cisplatin leads to structural and functional impairment in neurons through inflammation, apoptosis and electrophysiological disturbances. The aim of the present is to study is to evaluate the neuroprotective effect of phloroglucinol in cisplatin induced toxicities in rats.Adult male rats weighing 180-220gm were used.........

Abstract: Scope of my proposal is to reveal a peculiar micellar water that is composed by a plentitude of ingredients that depending on temperature of boiling, Reynold's number and speed of the ultracentrifugation, can give a micellar water that performs a cleansing effect that is 87,6% more than other cleaning products and toners, thanks to the elevated CMC,achieved thanks to these expedients.Equations and time of preparation are longer, but results are wonderful.I have teste on 5 volunteers who use to make up very strongly and have serious difficulty to render their face cleaned, fresh and with no irritation.
