Abstract: Extreme climatic events affect the economy, society and environment, and even make tribal livelihood more vulnerable to those living in mountain regions and forest ecosystems. The paper examines the livelihood vulnerability in the Tribal Sub-Plan area and compares it across the northern and southern districts in Odisha. Moreover, the livelihood vulnerability index is computed based on the IPCC framework by incorporating adaptive capacity, exposure, and sensitivity. The overall LVI score is 0.623 and LVI-IPCC score is 0.09. This indicates climate.....
