Abstract: Keratin, a biodegradable and biocompatible protein derived from hooves, horns, wool, feathers, hair and other keratinous bio materials, has gained amassed attention in nanotechnology due to its inherent biological activity and structural functionality. Keratin nanoparticles (KeNps) have emerged as a promising candidate for biomedical, pharmaceutical, and environmental applications due to their innocuous nature, surface modifiability and excellent cellular interaction.
