Abstract: Lectins are carbohydrate-recognizing proteins known for their capacity to agglutinate erythrocytes through specific glycan interactions. Screening of native plant species is an effective approach for identifying novel lectins with potential biomedical relevance. The present investigation aimed to evaluate hemagglutination activity from Tamarindus indica seeds collected from the Karnatak University Dharwad region and to characterize the most potent lectin source based on carbohydrate specificity, thermal and pH stability, and molecular mass determination.....

Abstract: Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (RFLP) is a DNA-based molecular marker technique used to detect genetic variation by analyzing differences in the lengths of DNA fragments produced after digestion with specific restriction endonucleases. These polymorphisms arise due to changes at the DNA level due to insertions, deletions, or point mutations at the DNA level that create or abolish restriction enzyme recognition sites, resulting in fragment length.......

Abstract: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a heterogeneous endocrine disorder frequently associated with insulin resistance (IR) and adverse metabolic outcomes, including an increased risk of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the prevalence of insulin resistance across different PCOS phenotypes and to evaluate its association with demographic, clinical, and hormonal parameters. A total of 250 women......

Abstract: The northern region of Sinaloa is characterized by its intense fishing activity, which represents a primary source of income for coastal communities. However, these communities face economic and social challenges stemming from marginalization and dependence on overexploited commercial species, such as shrimp. In this context, the bycatch obtained during shrimp fishing includes undervalued species, which represent a resource with high potential for utilization but currently lack adequate valuation. This article presents the results of characterizing the physicochemical.....
