| Title | : | Geo-electric Investigation of the Cause of Structural Failure Indices on a Set of Administrative Blocks |
| Country | : | Nigeria |
| Authors | : | Muslim B. Aminu |
Abstract: Electrical resistivity imaging has been employed to investigate the causes of structural failure related cracks on a set of administrative buildings in southwestern Nigeria. The goals were to determine the distribution of subsurface geologic lithologies beneath the set of buildings and therefrom infer the relative strengths of such lithologies. Data were collected along four geo-electric traverses using the ABEM1000 Terrameter unit. The dipole-dipole array was utilized with an electrode separation of 5 m. Observed field data were processed and inverted using a 2.5D finite-element modeling inversion algorithm. Results indicate that the northeastern half of the site is underlain by unweathered basement rocks overlain by thin (generally < 4 m) soil cover, while the southwestern region is dominated at depths beyond 4 m by low-resistivity water-saturated clays and some weathering tills.

| Title | : | Ruthless Earthquake and It's Act of Preventing |

| Authors | : | Krishnendu Chatterjee |
Abstract: This is the declaration to all the human race of the world the earthquake have expended discussion in all about, recent earthquake of Nepal have been seizing the sleep of eye of the peoples, some of the have thought, all are destiny, I most respectfully state that ultimately nothing have to destiny, which have provided by us, that is comeback in format destiny. "Do to others as you would be done by them it was called in prevent the earth have been polluted by modern civilization in every moment, so that's result will come back to us, there is the doubt. Most of the country has been testing about their atomic power in the subterranean zone so we should not to forget that, every reaction has behind an action.

Abstract: Subsurface geophysical investigation around Looda village, near Ode-Irele was carried out with the principal objective of evaluating the depth to the bituminous sand and its thickness with a view to suggesting better environmentally compatible exploitation technique.Electrical resistivity survey using the Schlumberger array was employed to generate subsurface models. 13 VES points along three (3) traverses were established in the study area with manual curve matching followed by Computer iteration of the vertical electrical sounding (VES) data. A careful study of the results, together with the knowledge of the Stratigraphy of the area was used to develop the subsurface models

Abstract: Integrated black emperor temple reservoir depositional time unit 310 wells logging curve shape, sand body geometry and porosity and permeability data, combined with regional geological background, the Puxi oilfield ancient block 1 black oil reservoir group each sand group sedimentary characteristics and depositional model of research. Research results show that will Heidimiao original six layer segment to 10 depositional time unit, through comparison of the fine, the establishment of logging facies models, 14 sedimentary microfacies plane distribution characteristics and evolution rules are obtained, provides an important geological basis for the exploration and development of reservoir.
