Abstract: Groundwater serves as the primary source of potable water in Maiduguri and Jere, northeastern Nigeria, where rapid population growth and limited public water supply have intensified reliance on hand-dug wells and boreholes. However, the increasing dependence on on-site sanitation systems such as pit latrines and septic tanks has raised concerns about groundwater safety. Abstract: This study employs Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to investigate the complex crustal deformation, uplift, and
erosion patterns within the Himalayan syntaxial bends, specifically at Nanga Parbat (west) and Namcha Barwa
(east). These "hairpin" turns, heavily influenced by the northward, counter-clockwise rotation of the Indian
Plate, are simulated using continuum mechanics and viscous/viscoelastic material properties. The Himalayan

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the existence of ground water based on measurement of apparent resistivity and chargeability.
