Abstract: In Nigeria, about 80% of petroleum movements are done on the road and there has been a steady growth in number of road tanker vehicles. This study examines road haulage constraints in the transportation of petroleum products. The study relied on primary data obtained through systematic administration of questionnaire to truck drivers at the point of waiting to load petroleum products in Kaduna Refinery. In all, 182 respondents were sampled. These problems were rank-ordered, the result of the study reveals that the major constraint confronting tanker drivers in conveying petroleum products to the selected locations is delay at police and military check points (mean= 1.72), followed by mechanical problems (mean=2.17), using K-W non parametric test. Furthermore, the correlation matrix of the trucking problem result reveals that five pairs of the constraints were significant with the strongest positive correlation being that of bad roads and delay in off-loading, r=0.81, p< 0.001. These results are fundamental for the prioritization of palliative measures to improve the constraints of road haulage of petroleum products in northern Nigeria.

Abstract: The health benefits of moderate and regular consumption of wine have been widely studied and reported. However, Fortification of wine for enhancing its properties like taste, flavour, strength has become a recent trend but, fortification of wine for increasing its healthful properties is less explored. This work explains how wine can be effectively fortified with extracts of herbs like, Holy basil (Ocimum sanctum), Lemon-grass (Cymbopogon citratus), Ginger (Zingiber officinale), and Peppermint (Mentha arvensis) to boost the health benefits and enhance the therapeutic applications of wine.

Abstract: Hazardous Wastes Control is one of the major problems of waste management companies and governmentand environment and disposal of such hazardous wastes is critical and problematic. Current method of hazardous waste disposal,which include mass burn or incineration, and landfilling create new problems to the environment. Vitrification of such wastes by thermal plasma gasification process appears to be a solution to hazardous waste disposal that does not create further problems to the environment. The energy generated by plasma arcs has been recently applied to hazardous waste vitrification.

Abstract: Problem statement: Coupled with resource conservation and reduced carbon emissions, coprocessing technology is a preferable alternative for sound and environmental friendly waste disposal over incinerators & non-scientific methods. It is not only solution to the waste disposal menace, but also reduces burden on secured landfills & TSDFs. Methodology: Apart from using energy and material value of wastes, coprocessing not only fixes the inorganic content of the wastes within the clinker, but also, it destroys the wastes completely due to high temperature and long residence
