Abstract:Web hotspot is considered as a serious problem in case of distributed systems. When the load in a website is suddenly increases, the situation is termed as web hotspot. This kind of situation can seriously degrade the performance of the website. One of the well known for this problem is DotSlash autonomic rescue system. In this paper we are trying to realize this web hotspot problem in a distributed system environment. Basically we need to distribute the load efficiently in various nodes so that the critical period can be handled. A cluster based approach is taken where the concept of content replication is used for efficient load distribution. Then a genetic algorithm based approach is proposed where we introduce a fitness function to find the best solution among a no of solutions (i.e. the nodes) with an aim to reduce delay and to increase the throughput.

Abstract:After several years of research in learning, education and the reactions of cognitive psychology to this research, educational psychologists and training designers developed prescriptive model for the systematic design of instruction (Derry and lesgold, 1994). This model, called Instructional Design (ID) or Instructional System Design (ISD), consists of knowledge, terminology and procedures that are widely accepted by professionals within the instructional design culture (Dick and Carey, 1990; Gagne and Merrill, 1990). Maximizing the learner motivation should be a major aim in instructional design. In this research article, a motivational theory (Eggen and Kauchak, 1999) and an ISD process (Morrison, 2010, 28) is discussed and few suggestions are furnished in the CBL environment instructions design.

Abstract:Software development is an intense collaborative process where success depends on the ability to create, share and integrate information. Given the trend towards globalization in the software development industry, the complexity of distributed systems has increased, which needs a systematic approach to the development of distributed systems very important. This paper introduces taxonomy of software engineering tools for distributed projects and presents collaborative development environments, ranging from classic platforms for dispersed developers in open source software projects to modern environments for flexible and distributed processes. It eases the distributed system development, increases the portability of the software and improves the system maintenance and reliability.
