Abstract: With the increasing concerns on security breach and transaction fraud, highly reliable and convenient personal verification and identification technologies are more and more requisite in our social activities and national services. Biometrics, in which the distinctive physiological and behavioural characteristics are used to recognize the identity of an individual, are gaining ever-growing popularity in an extensive array of governmental, military, forensic, and commercial security applications. Here, the resonation of sound is determined by the shape of human ear cavities to distinguish individuals. This system works measuring the acoustic characteristics determined by the shape of the ear . This is unique to individuals. It uses an earphone with a built-in microphone..............

Abstract: This study was conducted to evaluate Trema guineensis leaves efficacy in preventing CCl4-induced hepatotoxicity. The aqueous and ethanolic extracts were obtained from 100 g of leaves powder respectively by decoction in distilled water 1 Liter and by maceration in 1 Liter of mixture ethanol-water 70 %. The animals were orally pretreated with aqueous and ethanolic extracts at doses 100 mg/kg and 200 mg/kg body weight and 100 mg/kg body weight of silymarin (reference drug) daily for seven days while CCl4 was administered by intraperitoneal injection every 48 hours...............

Abstract: Introduction: Phlebotomy is a commonly done invasive technique, performed either for diagnostic or therapeutic purpose. A thorough knowledge and skills are to be ensured in the health care professionals who carry out this procedure regularly so as to ensure patient safety and minimize pre analytical errors in laboratory investigations. Aim of the present study was to assess the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of nursing staffs to carry out the phlebotomy procedure. Methodology: A validated questionnaire study involving seventy four nursing staffs of the medical college teaching hospital was conducted. They were divided in to three groups belonging to different age groups, like 19-30 yr, 31-45 yr and 45-60 yr. They were also classified based on their number of years of experience, as 0-5 yr,6-15 yr and more than 15 yr of experience...............

Abstract: In the present research work, we aimed to characterize the physicochemical quality and fatty acid profile of Oulmesbovine milk depending of season behavior. To perform this phenomenon, forty-eight samples were collected and examined in autumn 2013 and winter, spring, and summer 2014. The milk samples were obtained from Oulmes cows from the Middle Atlas region in Morocco. The milk components as milk fat, protein, and ash were observed not affected by seasonal change (3.6, 3.6 and 0.6%, respectively), while the fatty acid profile has found changed considerably between seasons................

Abstract: Occurrence of somaclonal variants is a common and persistent feature of TC industry. The somaclonal variants are important source of genetic variation in asexually propagated plant species and thus are considered as a potential mean for development of new crop variety. Present study showed identification of DNA markers (SSR) linked to off-type traits in micropropagated banana. For which three category of off-type plants (O1,O2 & O3) were characterized and used for DNA isolation. A total of 150 SSR and ISSR markers were screened, all one hundred fifty SSR markers showed monomorphic................

Abstract: Agrobacterium is a soil borne bacterium that causes the crown gall disease, which is the formation of crown gall tumours on a wide range of plants including dicots and monocots. Most of the genes that are required for the infection process are found on Ti plasmid (Tumor inducing plasmid). The Ti plasmid may carry useful virulence genes that may enhance the plant transformation efficiency. Agrobacterium species have been genetically modified and used as a tool for engineering desired genes into plants. However, many plants remain recalcitrant to genetic transformation by Agrobacterium species resulting in low transformation frequency. This seriously impeded the progress of plant biotechnology, particularly crop improvement.

Abstract: The beneficial effects of probiotics on host have been studied and explored for over a century. The aim of this research work was to investigate the maximum bacteriocin production from probiotic bacteria Bacillus subtilis resistance to low pH and bile salt and extraction of bacteriocin by using Chloroform extraction method. The antimicrobial activity was carried out using agar well diffusion method against pathogens such as E.coli, S.aureus, Aspergillus niger, Candida albicans. Maximum inhibition zone was shown by S.aureus about 21±0.85.Bacteriocin susceptibility testing...........

Abstract: It is well acquainted that male hormones (both in man and in woman) are involved in the occurrence of manifold types of acne, especially ribelle or cystic, and it is interesting to notice that when cystic acne explodes in young men (who present a very high blood serum testosterone level) the sebum glands of these individuals become more and more sensitive to the same androgens, performing a vicious cycle that is almost impossible to combat. The only remedy hitherto recognized and appreciated (notwithstanding all the side effects) is trenitoin, taken orally or applied topically. In this study I wanted to demonstrate that pre-treatment with gentle excariotic agents..........

Abstract: It was shown, that strains of lactic acid bacteria genus of Enterococcus, isolated from the sample of cow matsoon from different regions of Nagorno Karabakh Republic, are comply with the requirements of the WHO to probiotics and can be used as basis for obtaining of the new products of functional nutrition significance. It was shown, that during co-cultivation strains Enterococcus with different combinations, the increase in antimicrobial activity are not for all combinations of Enterococcus .

Abstract: A total of 855 samples of Ethmalosa fimbriata were collected from the Cross River Estuary between January to August 2014 for length-weight, sex ratio and condition factor determinations. The males dominated the populations with a total of 315 followed by 304 juveniles and 236 females with a corresponding sex ratio of 1:1:1.3. E. fimbriata exhibited negative allometric growth pattern with exponent b=2.303, a=0.086 indicating that the growth was not proportional in all directions and that the species was slimmer as it grows. The mean condition factor revealed that the species was in good condition with a corresponding..............
